Charles Edward Richardson, Sr. was born June 10, 1942, to Rosalee and Jessie Richardson, Sr. in Tallulah, Louisiana. To this union five children were born: one daughter and four sons. Rosalee, Jessie, Sr. and sister, Irene, proceeded him in death.
Charles was a happy child but would at times seem to get himself in trouble along with his brothers. Charles relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada at an early age with his parents. Charles attended Las Vegas High School and Rancho High School. Charles met and married the love of his life Clara B. Richardson in 1963. To this union five children were born which included a set of twin girls.
Church Life
Charles and Clara joined Victory Missionary Baptist Church in 1963. Charles served as a choir member, Adult Sunday School Teacher and as a Deacon for 50 plus years under the leadership of Pastor AJ Thompson, Pastor George Duboise, and under the late Dr. Robert E. Fowler, Sr. Charles loved reading and studying the bible and would at times ask you certain things as it pertained to the bible.
Family Life
Charles' work history consisted of working for the hotel, as a Street Sweeper for Clark County, School Bus Driver, Construction Worker and Foreman for the State of Nevada Highway Department for 30 years and as a Custodian for the Clark County Government Center after retiring from the State of Nevada for a short time. Charles (aka Tommy) had many activities that he enjoyed doing. Charles (Tommy) enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, and working with his hands. Charles was a calm man and enjoyed being around his family and loved his brothers dearly. Charles really enjoyed cooking, laughing and having Sunday family dinners. Charles instilled knowledge and wisdom into his children and grandchildren and was very proud of who and what they had become. Charles took care of his wife until her passing. Charles will truly be missed by his family and everyone that knew him.

God called Charles (Tommy) home to glory on June 5, 2023. Charles (Tommy) leaves to cherish his five children Charles Richardson, Jr. (Laverne), Lisa Richardson, Patricia Nelson (Tim), Ardania Richardson, and Daryl Richardson (Willette). Grandchildren, Charles D. Richardson, Steven Richardson, Shontia Richardson, Taylor Richardson, Telisah Richardson, and Tia Borum. Six great grandchildren, Jase Richardson, Laiyah Porter, Tamiyah Joyce, Patience Richardson, Reign Borum, and Blessin Lemmons. Three brothers Jessie Richardson, Jr. (Gloria), Bobby Richardson (Paula), and Jerry Richardson (Diane). Four nieces Michelle Payton, Felicia Brooks, Geri Richardson, and Tiana Richardson. Three nephews, Andre Richardson, Jaime Richardson, and Bobby J. Richardson. One God daughter LaShaun Parker and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
