John Tirado

John Tirado was born on May 13, 1946, in Bronx, New York, and passed away on October 23, 2022, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was 76 years old. He has left behind cherished memories with his wife Helen Ann Dixon-Tirado, daughter Serena Kennedy and his sons Richard Tirado and Tommy Tirado.

He is survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, and grandchildren and will be greatly missed by us all.

How do you honor someone who loved with all his heart? How do you remember someone who gave so much? How do you say goodbye to someone you never thought would leave?  I don't believe that there's one right answer to any of these questions. Dad would say it's okay to cry.

He was a simple person and never needed fancy things. As long as he had a roof over his head, clothes on his back, and a full stomach; that was enough. It didn't matter if that roof was barely holding, those clothes were worn or that food wasn't the greatest tasting. He was grateful.

I have so many memories of my dad, but the ones I always come back to are our trip to the racetrack. Yes, I know what was he thinking taking a child to the track?! But I loved it so much. Even though we weren't together the entire time it was and still is special to me. It was our time together.

Although all our hearts are breaking and wishing that you were still here and some of us hoped to go to a Raiders home game with you or maybe be able to kiss you goodbye one last time...

We know that you are in a better place and finally at peace. Thank you for just being you and loving us in that special way that only you could.
