Agnes Claire Smith

Agnes Claire Gerhard Smith, 80, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2011, in Las Vegas. She was born to Anthony Edward Gerhard Sr. and Gustava Wilhelmina Thorson, Aug. 3, 1930, in Pasadena, Calif. June 19, 1948, she married Leroy Lawrence Smith, who preceded her in death July 3, 1987. To this union was born four children who survive to mourn her loss, Larry Sr. Susan, Tom Kaylinda, Robyn and Daline Leon 10 grandchildren 16 greatgrandchildren three brothers, Bob Gloria, Frank Gleni and Eddie two sisters, Dodie Chuck and Gayle one sisterinlaw, Kathy and one brotherinlaw, Bob. Claire also leaves behind over 100 nieces, nephews, greatnieces and greatnephews to mourn her loss. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Anthony and Bill sisters, Cecilia Del and Jean brothersinlaw, Kenny and Jack sisterinlaw, Peggy and two greatgrandchildren. She moved to Las Vegas in 1970 and worked for State Industries in Henderson as a colbalt programmer and years later changed jobs to the City of Henderson as a computer programmer, where she stayed until she retired in 1999.
