Alan Douglas Alexander

April 26, 1965 — August 28, 2020

Alan "Doug" Alexander age 55 of Henderson, Nevada passed away on August 28, 2020, in his home. Born April 26, 1965, son of Boyd "Luke" and Dorothy Alexander. Doug graduated Basic High School in 1983, ultimately retiring with over 30 years of dedicated service to the Nevada Department of Transportation.

Doug is survived by Boyd "Luke" Alexander (Father), Carol Ingraham (Sister), David Alexander (Brother), and Brian "Pete" Alexander (Brother).

Doug was a generous donor to the Shriners Hospital for Children and proudly supported and sent care packages to Military members of all branches serving abroad.

He loved the Canadian Rock band RUSH often traveling great distances for the opportunity to see them live. A quote from Doug's favorite drummer Neil Peart taken from "Bravado" perfectly symbolizes the legacy Doug leaves behind.

"And if the music stops

There's only the sound of the rain

All the hope and glory

All the sacrifice in vain

And if love remains

Though everything is lost

We will pay the price

But we will not count the cost."

There is no service currently scheduled for Alan "Doug" Alexander.
