Albert A. Aimar, 88, passed away on April 3rd, 2011.
Albert was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia, and grew up on a remote farm without running water or electricity. He trudged several miles through snow to get to school early and start the fire.
He was a football star in high school. In 1942, he joined the Army and served in the European Theater as an ambulance driver during WW II. He was injured by an explosion and suffered severe headaches thereafter. He received the Good Conduct Medal and the Distinguished Unit Badge. He was an active Boy Scout Leader and coached his companys softball team. He retired in 1986 from CrisCraft Boat Company in Detroit, Michigan, where he was the Plant Manager.
Albert moved to Las Vegas in 1987.
Albert is survived by his wife Elsie, of 62 years sons, Albert and Jeffery grandson, Ryan granddaughter, Lindsan and brother, Joseph.
