Alexis Brown, was called to heaven on May 13, 2020 at the age of 53 in Las Vegas, NV.
Alexis was born in the Bronx, NY to Margaret Craig and Jerry Williams on May 16, 1966.
Alexis was raised in a loving home by her grandparents, Gloria Williams and Lyle Moffett, alongside her uncles Guy Williams and Andre Williams and Aunt Mia Williams.
Alexis was always passionate about learning and attended College of New Rochelle where she studied Sociology. She attended Elementary PS 6, Middle School IS 167 and Harry S. Truman High School in New York.
Alexis was an affectionate, loving person with an eternally youthful spirit. She had an extraordinary sense of humor, and radiant smile that could light up a room.
In 1993, Alexis met Wayne Brown whom she fell in love with in Omaha, Nebraska.
Prior to her union with Wayne, Alexis was blessed with the birth of her daughter Precious Gillmore.
Less than a year later, they were married, and have remained husband and wife for 26 years. Together, they had three children LaSean, Mecca, and Amir.
Alexis was an avid public speaker and used that combined with her wisdom to empower people in her community. She enjoyed helping people bring the best out of themselves. Alexis had an exceptional eye for fashion and decorum. When it came to first impressions, she had a flamboyant personality, with style to match.
Most of all, Alexis kept love in the forefront of her mind having opened her home to plenty of friends, family and offering a warm embrace to whoever came to her door.
She was a devoted wife, and mother, and a spark of life that we'll all carry within us.
Alexis is preceded in death by her grandparents Gloria Williams and Lyle Moffett, Ida and Willie Craig and father Jerry Williams (Boonie), and mother Margaret Craig (Gail).
Alexis is survived by husband Wayne Brown, children Precious Gillmore, LaSean Brown, Mecca Brown, and Amir Brown. Grandchildren Divine, Major, Landon and Amaia and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.
