Alice Marcia Davenport Bishop, 72, a retired criminal docket clerk, of Las Vegas, passed away November 25, 2010 from cancer. She was born July 15, 1938, in Bell, California.
Marcys father worked for the Union Pacific Railroad and moved his family to Las Vegas in 1946 from California.
Marcy attended John S. Park and graduated from Las Vegas High School. She attended Brigham Young University and after went to work for the U.S. Air Force at Nellis, where she met and married Brad.
She worked for the U.S. Government, first for the Navy, then the Bureau of Land Management, FBI and finished her career in the Justice Department. She was very involved with the Las Vegas High class of 1956 alumni and a member of the LDS church where she had many friends. Marcy was the kind of friend everyone loved. She traveled extensively and on one trip she went around the world.
As she grew older, she loved to quilt, knit and sew. She devoted her time to her family and friends who were lucky recipients of her beautiful quilts, scarves and pillow cases she made especially for them.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Davenport and mother, Ethel Davenport.
She is survived by her husband, of 52 years, Bradford daughter, Kelle Walsh Richie sons, Russell Bishop Vickie and Scott Bishop Kathleen sister, Deana Dean Jerry brother, Frank Davenport Cathie two granddaughters, Fallon Bishop and Deven Bishop and two dogs, Felix and Oscar.
