Allen E. Sorensen

Allen E. Sorensen, 69, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away February 21, 2014. He was born April 15, 1944 to Elon Chris and Ruth Sorensen in Payson, Utah. Allen was a 48 year resident of Las Vegas. He served in both the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam war. Allen was a proud member of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police force for more than 25 years. After his retirement from Metro, he was employed by MGM corporate security for 16 years. Allen was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and greatgrandfather. His love of fishing and hunting has been passed on to his sons and grandchildren.
Allen was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Spike and his beloved son Jason. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Patricia and 3 sons: Eric Susie of Arkansas, Ryan Linda of Las Vegas and Scott Adam of Las Vegas, grandchildren Sebastian, Alex, Zachary, David, Dawn, Cody, Megan, Michelle, Starla, Michael, Aryiah, Ryan, Bryce, Cyrus and Ariana and great grandchildren Lainie, Abby, Chris and Konner. Allen is also survived by his sisters Joan of Genola, Utah and Helen Carl of Eureka, Utah and brother Chris Nancy of Reno, Nevada and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews and friends.
Allen was a good man and will be missed by all who knew him.
