Amanda Braithwaite, 27, passed away unexpectedly in the early morning hours on July 13, 2021. Amanda was a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend. Born in Las Vegas, NV on June 2, 1994 to Adrian and Christine Braithwaite, Amanda lived her entire life here where she attended Ullom E.S., Woodbury M.S., and Chaparral H.S.
Amanda had a love for animals like no other. After high school, she worked as a veterinarian assistant, where she got to live out her dream of being with dogs day in and day out.
Amanda’s other passion was singing. She had been in choir through all of her high school years. Amanda had been taking vocal lessons for years and had performed in many venues around town. Amanda had a way of making people smile with her beautiful voice.
Amanda, nicknamed “Mandy”, “Amanda the Panda”, and “The Mandster”, was funny, outgoing, and beautiful, both inside and out. She had a way of lighting up a room whenever she walked in. We will always remember Mandy’s piercing blue eyes, infectious smile, boisterous laugh, and caring personality. Her presence in our lives will be sorely missed.
When you think of Amanda, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest.
Amanda was preceded in death by her grandparents (James and Ursula Braithwaite), (Paul and Sadie Dakus), and (Roland McClain). She leaves behind her parents, brother (James), grandmother (Helen McClain), aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
