I dont have a bucket list. I have done everything I wanted to do in my life. From West Philadelphia to Henderson, Amelia Donaldson enjoyed her family, sunshine and the activities that abound in Las Vegas. Amelia Marie Donaldson, 76, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, on her own terms with the drive and determination that characterized the way she lived. She was born July 22, 1936, in Philadelphia, and was a 12year resident of Nevada. Focused and organized, Amelia had to be as a young Catholic schoolteacher with over 60 students in her third grade class. To cap it off, she also attended night classes to gain her degree from St. Josephs University. Widowed at the age of 44, Amelia raised four boys who loved and cared for her. Bernie, the owner of a an office furniture distributorship, Bill, a security guard at a local casino, Brian, an elementary school principal, and Michael, an emergency room nurse, all benefited from their mothers guidance and generous spirit. After Amelias mother and father died, she had the desire to move west, and much to the dismay of her family, she moved from Philadelphia and settled in Henderson. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Robert Donaldson. Amelia is survived by her parents, Emma and Jim Ranalli four sons, Bernard of Chicago, Bill of Henderson, Brian of Doha, Qatar, and Michael of Las Vegas nine grandchildren, Sean, Kristen, Alexandra, Erin, Tomas, Augustina, Joaquin, Madison and Dominick.
