Amelia A. Turpin, of Las Vegas, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at
Solari Hospice, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Amelia was born on May 22, 1927 in Davao City, Philippines to Filemon and Beatriz Arias. She graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Social Work and worked for the Department of Social Welfare in the Philippines. After relocating to California, she worked for the Los Angeles County as a Substance Abuse Counselor specializing in Alcoholism until she retired in
1992.
Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Greatgrandmother, she always had a smile and kind word for everyone. She never lost her sense of humor through the years and maintained her positive attitude all through her life. She will be forever in our hearts and will be missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
She is preceded in death by both her parents her sisters, Araceli, Aglais, and
Azucena.
She is survived by her children, Francis, Reymundo, Araceli, Delfm, Filbea, Melvin and Cesar cousins, nieces and nephews, grandchildren and GreatGrandchildren, and her 2 dogs, Maggie and Molly, who brought her so much joy in her life.
A visitation will be from 48 PM on Sunday, July 21 at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89119. Funeral services will be at 10 AM, Monday, July 22 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N Pecos Rd., Henderson, NV 89074.
