Angelina R. Maline

January 27, 1925 — November 17, 2011

ANGELINA ROSE ROSSI MALINE known by most friends and relatives as GINGER or GING.

Angelina was a tom boy as she grew up according to relatives that knew her then. Ginger married Andrew Maline on 6346 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, more than 65 years ago. She often spoke of her love of Jesus.

Ginger finished cosmetology school and was self employed as a cosmetologist for a few years in Carbon, Pennsylvania, a small mining and farm town near Greensburg. About five years after having two boys, they all relocated to Wisconsin, where she resumed her cosmetologist business out of her home.

Ginger and Andy began a lifelong love of dancing in Wisconsin. Ginger started as a food prep and retired as cook supervisor in the Milwaukee Public Schools System. She had a reputation for helping less fortunate children. She often provided extra portions for the poor children and families. During that time she became an advocate of the Alliance for the Mentally III and carried that momentum with her to the Las Vegas Chapter, where she finally retired leaving a lasting impression on many of those who benefited from the efforts.

Soon after retiring from the Milwaukee Public School System, Ginger and Andy Sr. started a pasta business called Angelinas Gnocchi in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She and Andy worked out of their basement and when they later sold the business, large volumes of pasta were prepared and sold from the kitchen of a nearby restaurant. And, dancing grew as a favorite hobby for the two of them. Eventually they would teach ballroom dancing for 30 years. They would dance 35 times a week.

Her home always had an open door policy for relatives and friends and she regularly entertained them. Saying grace before meals was very common for Ginger. Most of those who knew her knew that she became an expert using 2 for 1 coupons and free dinners. As in her earlier days her stubborn tomboy spirit carried her through the challenges of Alzheimer disease, even as she danced into the sunset with our Lord.

Ginger is survived by her husband, Andrew Sr., of 65 years sons Andrew Maline Jr. of Las Vegas Mark A. Maline, and Jeffry Maline from West Allis, Wisconsin Grandchildren, Scott M. Maline of Denver, Colorado Michele Rowan of Las Vegas Nina Maline Spacek of Mukwonago, Wisconsin Graham Maline and Mitchell Maline of West Allis, Wisconsin Surviving siblings are Jennie Daversa, of Hunker, Pennsylvania Horatio Duddy Rossi of Greensburg, Pennsylvania and Anthony Rossi of Graysonville, Maryland
