Annette Joyce Paulson

Annette Joyce Paulson, 71yrs., Las Vegas, NV, was ushered into the LORDS presence on July 18, 2011, at Progressive Hospital in Las Vegas, after an ongoing battle with cancer. Born in Red Wing, Minnesota, November 18, 1939. She was the daughter of Luverne Pinky Paulson and Luetta Koester Paulson, who preceded her in death as well as a brother, Gene Casey Paulson and wife Velma, and a sister, Barbara Lee Paulson, and one stillborn nephew.

Annette was a 1957 graduate of Central High School in Red Wing, Minnesota, and entered the workforce as a keypunch operator at Citizens Security Mutual Insurance Company of Red Wing. Upon the moving of neighborfriends to Las Vegas in the mid1960s, she was invited to visit them, which visit motivated her moving to Las Vegas in 1965.

She began working for Nevada Light Power for a number of years and then on May 1, 1976, began her career at DeLucas Liquor as a keypunch operator. She worked her way up to Administration Office Manager in data processing at DeLucas later becoming Wirtz Beverages and was still working 20 hrs. per week until December 10, 2010, when health problems placed her in Sunrise Hospital and other acute care facilities during her illness.

Annette was an avid sports fan, especially of the Minnesota Vikings, the L.A. Lakers which used to be the Minneapolis Lakers from the land of 10,000 lakes, and many times a season ticket holder of the UNLV Rebels. She was known by family and friends to have two different games going on a split TV screen and another game going on a smaller TV, all at the same time such was her love for sports. She was visited numerous times by family and friends who also wanted to see do Las Vegas as well. Along with her sports enthusiasm, she was an avid reader, especially of mystery novels, as well as a collector of many different things holiday decorations, snowmen, and collectorfigurines with pictures, records and antiques. She was an avid Avon buyer and her complexion was an excellent advertisement, even in her severe illness receiving many compliments.

Annette is survived by her sister, Kathy M. Paulson of Waukesha, WI, and brother, Don G. Paulson Sr. Gypsy of Flint, MI with Nieces and Nephews: Angela Turner John, Mary Barker Jerry Don G. Paulson Jr. Jane Paula Hutchins Johnny John Paulson Heather Joseph Paulson Rebecca Carrie Leach Jonathan and Betty Stein Jerry Hill Kim Wood Kevin Karen Paulson and Krista Cox J. She has many grandnieces and grandnephews, cousins and friends.
