Annie Laurie Robinson

Mrs. Annie Laurie Robinson, 96, passed peacefully June 25, 2021, of heart failure at Henderson Hospital in Henderson, Nevada.
Mrs. Robinson, as she was called by the multitude of students she taught and nurtured in her lifetime role as a most dynamic educator and mentor.
She was born on January 28, 1825, to the late Laura E. McCrainie Robinson  & Israel Robinson. Sr. In Jackson, Mississippi. She was the third of four children born to them who predeceased her (Reverend Israel Robinson, Mrs. Beulah Roberts & Dr Dollye Robinson) respectively, also including her older step-siblings, Roosevelt Robinson & E.Emile. 
She received her master’s degree in science (biology) & AAA teaching certificate after study at Jackson State University, Boston University &
University of Wisconsin at Madison.
Her teaching career spanned 49 years in biology while heading the science departments at Smith Robinson, Jim Hill. high school, Central High School, Murray High School & Provine High School.
Annie Laurie Robinson is survived by her only child, daughter, Petsye Huyghue, who was her primary caregiver for many years until her passing, and several cousins, nieces & nephews.
She will be remembered as a treasured Blessing to her family, friends& students.
