Tribute to a Great Man
Antony~Euclid C. Villa~Real – named by his Pa after Euclid, the father of geometry – is also known as Antony Starluck or lovingly MooonCat. He was born on March 12, 1935 after his beloved mother prayed a novena to St. Antony. He transcended the boundaries of this reality and began a new journey on June 3, 2020.
All those who knew Antony loved him and were drawn to his incredibly vibrant personality and Great Faith in God. He had a magnetic presence about him as he sang his inspired compositions, wrote his imaginative stories, created his hi~tech inventions, and shared his magnanimous dreams for a United World under the banner of International Humanitarian Centers. His eyes would light up with excitement when he reminisced about his adventures and extensive travels... from daring adventures to Red China as a young man and traveling via train with his younger sister, Olivia, in dangerous East Berlin to his multiple journeys throughout the United States, the Philippines, Europe, Asia, the Bahamas, and Hawaii.
During his early years, Antony studied medicine, aeronautics, and medical technology. He was an ever~curious dreamer, an accomplished inventor with double~digit patents to his name, and he possessed an intuitive foresight far ahead of his time. As a multifaceted Renaissance man, he was an entertainer who sang with a high~baritone voice, composed songs, and authored screenplays, books, & short stories. Antony enjoyed debates, imagineering, and discussing his original scientific theories. He worked as a medical technologist at various facilities such as Cedars~Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, and Maryland General in Baltimore. Also, he took on a position as a medical researcher at esteemed Johns Hopkins. He was a genius who possessed a sharp intellect combined with an enormous heart of gold that he shared graciously with his family, friends, and anyone with the good fortune to know him. Antony is the original Singing~Inventor.
While a medical student at Far Eastern University in the Philippines, Antony serendipitously met the beautiful love of his life and the sparkle of his eye – Lydia Guizon – in a swimming pool at the local YMCA. He often regaled us of their romantic courtship and how with the help of his Uncle Joe and Uncle Phil brought her to the United States a few short years later. Their one~of~a~kind marriage began in Los Angeles where he bought rings from a toy vending machine and the most comfortable shoes (aka slippers) for her. Then, he bargained the wedding chapel officiant into accepting five dollars to preside. Thus, humbly began their ultimate fifty~seven~year~old union. Antony and Lydia have three wonderful children: Maria~Lourdes Stewart (after Our Lady of Lourdes), Apollo~Euclid G. Villa-Real (after the Apollo Moonshot), and Antoinette~Euclideana Mora (he later met nuns who foretold that she would be most like him).
Antony joins his parents Osmundo & Isidra Villa-Real, his mother~in~law Adelaida "Ginga", his Uncles Joe, Phil, & Paquito, his Aunt Stella, brothers~in~law Ludy & Enrique, his son~in~law Christopher Glenn, along with other loved ones and friends who have since gained their wings.
His enduring love and legacy shine through his wife and children; his grandchildren – Alexis~Taylor Mora, Alexander~Euclid Viray, Paul~Michael Viray, Christina~Marie Stewart, Christopher~James Stewart, Kaden Apollo Villa-Real, and Kyler Simon Euclid Villa-Real; his great~grandchildren – Dylan England, Kaleb Michael Viray, Brennan Michael Viray, Jaxon Michael Viray, Eva Monroe Viray, Maddox Alexander Viray, and Asher Phoenix Viray; his beloved sister, Olivia Villa~Real Jacobsen, brother~in~law Carl Jacobsen, their three children Marc Alabanza, Bella Pfefferman, Donna Jacobsen Gray, and all their respective families.
