Barbara Ford Miller Hein, age 94, passed from this mortal life early Friday, February 1, 2019, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Barbara was born October 24, 1924, in Kanab, Utah to her loving parents Asa Clair Ford and Clara Alvira Burnham.
Barbara attended school in Kanab graduating in 1942. She married Garth Miller November 12, 1947, and they were later blessed with two children, Rodney and Joyce. They moved around a few times before settling in Henderson, Nevada.
In 1957, she took a job as a maid at the Blue Angel. In 1958, she got a job as a Clerk Typist at Nellis Air Force Base where she continued to advance until she retired as a Realty Officer in 1982.
On March 5, 1976, she married Robert William Hein. On their first anniversary, March 5, 1977, they were sealed in the St. George Temple for time and all eternity.
Barbara was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She dedicated her life to service. She served as a geneaolgy missionary, an Ordinance Worker in the Las Vegas Temple and many other callings.
Barbara is survived by her 2 loving children, Rodney (Bonnie) Miller and Joyce (Byron) Jenkins; her 6 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; as well as her sister Anna May Little and her brothers John Ford, Paul (Judi) Ford and Kim Ford.
To celebrate the life of Barbara a viewing will be held in her honor Friday February 8th at 9 am with services immediately following at 10 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints, 6601 W. Twain Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89103.
