Beatriz Canas Lowther was a loving wife, mother and professional accountant. Beatriz is survived by her husband of 31 years, Gene Lowther and two daughters from a previous marriage, Rachel and Lisa. She made friends easily, travelled extensively, and worked relentlessly.
Beatriz (Betty) enjoyed life tremendously endearing herself to all who met her. She loved people, sharing stories, experiences, and throwing parties with great food and enthusiasm. She was also a good athlete that would workout at the gym, play tennis, handball, bowling and any other competitive sport. Many times she would workout in the morning, work all day and play tennis in the evening. Her great enthusiasm for all positive and competitive endeavors was an inspiration to all.
Betty was a corporate hospital auditor for many years. This was a very demanding, intense and professional job that allowed her to travel domestically. As a hospital auditor, based on her analytical work, she advised top management whether to invest in the purchase of hospitals located throughout the United States Later, based on Betty's exemplary accounting skills and experience she became a Chief Financial Officer with several California hositals.
Betty's passion to stay active never ended. After she retired she became a tour host guiding groups throughout Europe and the Holy Land. Also, her passion to work in accounting continued until two days before she passed.
Her love for life, dedication to family and friends and desire to excel in all undertakings made her an inspiration to behold.
Beatriz Lowther, 79, was called to her eternal resting place on December 25, 2020. She entered this world on November 14, 1941 in Manila, Philipines
