Belinda D. Walcott 56, passed away on Aug 31, 2021, in Las Vegas, NV. She was born on July 13, 1965, in Queens, NY and was raised in Co-Op City, Bronx NY. She graduated from Harry Truman High School upon graduating she went to work for Easter Seals New York in Manhattan.
She then relocated to Florida where she began to work for Universal Studio’s where she then got married and gave birth to a son Torean Thomas. A year later she returned to her birth state New York. From there she moved to the Hudson Valley area and began working as a Hospital Care Aide for Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY. She also pursued furthering her education to become a Dental Assistant as well as interest in Physical Therapy.
An independent artist and loved by many, she moved to Las Vegas in 2017 doing what she loved, which was painting on canvas and tile; art was her passion. While in Las Vegas she also studied Sociology at the University of Arizona Global Campus. In her pastime she was working on writing a book, making jewelry while whistling her favorite tunes, traveling, going to Casinos, doing Puzzles, and chatting with family members on the East Coast.
She was predeceased by her father Frank Walcott and survived by her mother Sylvia Walcott of Las Vegas, sister Adriane McPhaul of New York, Kenneth Hayden (companion) of Las Vegas & New York, son Torean Thomas of Las Vegas, and daughter Miani Brown of New Jersey and one granddaughter, as well as a host of other family and friends.
