Bernice Irene Gaugler DuBois, 89, entered into eternal life on September 6, 2015, at Delmar Gardens of Green Valley. She was born the fifth in a family of seven, to Henry John and Leona Ellen Tracy Gaugler on April 2, 1926. She was born on her grandparent's homestead in Grant County, North Dakota. She attended a country school at Pretty Rock, and in 1944 graduated from High School in New Leipzig, North Dakota. After graduation, she attended telegraph school in Jamestown, ND and went to work for the Northern Pacific Railroad in the Rocky Mountain region as a telegraph operator and station agent. On April 2, 1947, she married Robert M. DuBois and moved to Billings, Montana. She worked for Western Union for twenty years as a Morse operator. She was one of the last Morse operators before teletype and computerized communications were getting started. Bernice loved dogs and in 1965, she started her own grooming business that served Billings for 35 years. She was a member of the Central Christian Church and served as an Elder and Sunday school teacher. She was past Matron of Billings Friendship Chapter #124 Order of Eastern Star, past President of Electa Club, honorary member of Bethel 3 Jobs Daughters, where she served as Bethel Guardian. She also received the Grand Cross of color from Rainbow for Girls. She loved the Lord, her family and friends and cherished good times she spent with all of them. She loved sewing, reading and writing poetry.
Bernice is survived by five children. Ronald, (Kumiko) Robert, and Richard all of Henderson, NV. Sally (Joel) Coble of Dakota Dunes, SD and Shari (Orlando) Visarraga of Henderson, NV. Eleven grandchildren; Stacey Loucks, Allison Meadows, Jeff, JoAnne, and Jackie DuBois, John Coble and Lindsay Parmer, Amanda, Andrea, Angelica, and Alyssa Visarraga. Four great grandchildren, Hillary and Zach Jones, Hannah Meadows, and Tyson Carroll. Two great-great grandchildren, Olivia Coreas, and Emery Parmer. One sister, Patricia Schmitz. She is also survived by dozens of nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews who loved ""Aunt Bernie"". She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Leona Gaugler, one brother, Joe, and four sisters, Genevieve Kahl, Terry Welsh, Kathleen Dawson and Frances Schmitz.
