Bishop Bessie Elizabeth Sadler

Born on October 4, 1946 in Cumberland Furnace, Tennessee. Died on February 14, 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the age of 78.

Bishop Sadler dedicated her life to full-time ministry, beginning in 1983. Her ministry touched countless lives through conferences, women's retreats, revivals, and Bible workshops. For many years, she was a guest speaker on the Trinity Broadcast Network (TBN) in Phoenix, Arizona. A dedicated prayer warrior and intercessor, Bishop received numerous awards and acknowledgements for her faithful commitment to the Body of Christ.

Bishop & Elder Sadler's ministry focused on providing a sound base of teaching and preaching rooted in the doctrines of Jesus Christ. The Holy Ghost Explosion Conferences, established in 1987, became a ministry used by God to bring leaders together for times of refreshing in the Holy Ghost.

Bishop Sadler was known for her dynamic, vibrant, and joyous personality. Her unique anointed style of preaching and teaching, often incorporating "storytelling" techniques, kept her audiences engaged and eager to learn. She shared messages of hope and encouragement, her down-to-earth style revealing the joy of the Lord in everyday circumstances. Used in the Gifts of the Spirit, she sincerely endeavored to bring out the best in others. She was truly a mighty woman after God's own heart. Elizabeth Sadler Ministries, a California-based and incorporated full gospel spirit-filled, evangelistic, and inter-denominational organization, was a testament to her dedication. In November 2001, Rev. Elizabeth was consecrated to the office of Bishop.

Bishop Sadler, the eldest of nine siblings, entered the world under the care of Hershael and Bessie Edmondson, who would later precede her in death. Her lineage traced back to Jeff Edmondson, a pivotal figure among the founding families of Promise Land, Tennessee. This remarkable community, nestled in Charlotte, Tennessee, emerged during the Reconstruction Period (1870-1875) as a haven for formerly enslaved individuals from the Cumberland Furnace region, embodying their resilience and determination.

Her formative years at Hampton High School, culminating in her 1964 graduation, were vibrant with activity. She excelled in basketball and lent her musical talents to the marching band, where the spirited melody of "California, Here I Come" held a special place in her heart—a tune that, years later, would resonate with her actual move to the Golden State. On October 4, 1966, she embarked on a lifelong partnership with Jimmy Glen Sadler, and together, they built a life in California, eventually retiring to the vibrant city of Las Vegas.

Her departure leaves a profound void in the lives of her beloved husband, Jimmy; her devoted daughter, Angela, and son-in-law, Geoffrey; her cherished grandsons, Kendel and Noel; and her siblings, Michael, Cindy, Rex, Jerome, and Tammie. She was a central figure in a vast network of loving family and friends, all of whom will deeply miss her presence. She now joins her late siblings, Hershael Jr., Maxine, and Thomas, in eternal rest.
