Beulah Fern Winters nee Fleck, 85, passed on August 17, 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born in Enfield, Illinois on September 10, 1938 to Henry Philip and Alma Irene (Savage) Fleck, the seventh of their eight children. She spent her childhood on her family’s farm in Southern Illinois. After graduating high school, she moved to California and began a 30 year career with Bell Telephone, starting as a switchboard operator. After retiring, she kept busy working part-time for American Greetings stocking cards in local groceries. In 1976 she moved into her Anaheim home, where she lived for 48 years, enjoying her neighborhood friendships. During her last year she resided in Las Vegas with two of her nephews, Mike and Tom Fleck.
Beulah loved traveling and her many hobbies included knitting, sewing, gardening and amassing a wide variety of owl collectibles. She had a succession of eight dogs, including Holly a Schnauzer who lives on. Beulah was always up for an adventure and lived her life with excitement, energy and laughter, often while sequined and donned in animal print attire.
Beulah is survived by her sister Norma Raber of Browns, Illinois and many nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents, her sister Verla Young, and her brothers Carl, Herman, Merrel, Norbert and Roy.
