Carol Irene (Roi) Martinez

Carol (Roi) Martinez was born in Crookston MN. on June 9, 1947, the second of three daughters to Louis and Florence Roi. She passed away on November 15th, 2017 in Henderson NV surrounded by her family. Carol moved to Seattle WA as a young child and later she would meet and marry the love of her life, Lloyd Martinez on December 7th, 1974.
She raised three cherished daughters and was later gifted with a special bond with each of her 7 amazing grandchildren.
Carol enjoyed traveling this wonderful country with her husband by her side. They visited every single
state in the U.S. at least once. They loved to get in the car and drive to new destinations and no detour was too out of the way to see an old fort or small museum.
She loved life and her family most of all. She loved games of all kinds and playing cards around the kitchen table with the whole family was one of her favorite things.
Carol was an incredible daughter, sister, mother, aunt and grandmother.
After retirement she moved to Henderson Nevada to relax and enjoy the sun.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Louis and Florence Roi, sister, Shirley Mismas, and nephew, Rudolf Schaffner.
She is survived by her loving husband, Lloyd Martinez (Henderson NV.)
Sister, Louise (Rudolf) Schaffner (Stanwood WA)
Daughters: Anna (Bryan) Murray, Lorreta (Brian) Schwiger, and Jody Martinez.
Grandchildren: Brittany Schwiger, David Murray, McKayla Schwiger, Alex Schwiger, Eric Murray, Kiara Talley, Mekhi Talley and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is loved and greatly missed by all who knew her.
Carol will be laid to rest at Davis Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Las Vegas Nevada on December 27th 2017 at 11 AM.
