Carole Willden was born in Eureka Utah on Christmas Day 1927 to Delbert B. and Mildred Twitchell Willden. The family was blessed with six children, Mae, Verland, Carole, Lamond, Beth and Ferrel. At an early age they moved to Delta, Utah and it was there that Carole received all of her schooling.
When she was 12 her father was killed in a tragic accident leaving the little family very devastated and her mother responsible for taking care of Carole and her three sisters and two brothers. She often talked about how hard her mother worked to make sure her children were well taken care of and had the things they needed.
She enjoyed her high school years and especially enjoyed singing and acting with several friends. After graduating high school she met Samuel Richard Wilcock of Parowan. They were married in February of 1947 and moved to Salt Lake. They were blessed with four children, Cindy, Rick, Scott and Doug.
Carole, who had always had a good business mind, decided to go to work in real estate. Even with her little family she was able to devote a lot of time to her job and in 1966 became the owner of Towncrest Real Estate. The family became very involved with building, decorating and selling homes in many areas of Salt Lake.
The family was shocked and saddened by the death of her husband. After a period of grieving and adjusting to life without him, she became very involved in her work and became very well known as a successful woman in real estate.
Several years after her first husband died, she met and married Mike Bloominger. They bought and ran a KOA Campground in Texas and also bought and remodeled a motel. After selling the Campground they moved to Las Vegas, where Carole spent the rest of her life. Mike passed away 21 years ago and she spent the rest of her time in her home with family supporting and loving her.
She was a member of the Haven Ward and had many loving, kind friends who have been so kind to her for the last few years. When she turned 80 years old she was able to attend the Temple and receive the blessing of taking out her own endowments. She stayed very active until her death.
Carole passed away in her home at the age of 89 on March 16, 2017. She is survived by three of her children, Rick Wilcock, Cindy (Elmer) Veatch, and Scott (Cathy) Wilcock. Also she loved her 10 grandkids and 28 great grandkids. She is also survived by her sister Beth Tolbert. She was preceded in death by her husband Sam, her second husband Mike, son Doug, and grandson Mike Veatch.
