Catherine Marie Chavez

Catherine Marie Chavez was called to God on Tuesday October 21st, 2014. Catherine was born on July 27th, 1968 in Yankton, South Dakota. At the age of one she moved to Hawaii, where she grew a love for singing and being near the ocean. When she was 12 years old her family moved her to Las Vegas where she would live the rest of her days. In 1988 Catherine welcomed a daughter Ashlee and again in 1991 she welcomed another daughter Felicita. Her daughters were her world and she would do anything for them. Unfortunately in 2003 her eldest daughter Ashlee was called to heaven. Although it was a tremendous loss, Catherine stayed tough and raised her younger daughter into a wonderful woman whom she was very proud of. Catherine was preceded in death by her daughter, Ashlee2003, by her father Andrew Jackson 2009, and her sister Pamela Valdez 2011. Catherine is survived by her mother Catherine Jackson, sister Barbara McFarland, brother Lee Jackson, daughter Felicita Fermin Carranza, and soon to be granddaughter Giselle Carranza. Services will be held Saturday October 25th at 12:30 pm at St. Christophers Catholic Church. As hard as it is to let go she has now joined the Angels that have past before her and for that we are grateful.
