Cecilia Juanita Arnold

Cecilia Arnold, the wife of Jesse Arnold; Mother of Dyanna Arnold and Keith Arnold; Grandmother (affectionately called Mama Cia) of Ariana Plante, Moses Arnold (RIP) and Joshua Arnold; Great-Grandmother of Kellen Plante and Sloane Letcher; Mother-in-law of Jeanette Arnold; and Sister-in-law to Judith Arnold and Sandra Kirk. Cecilia was also Aunt to 16 nieces and nephews; and great-Aunt to over 35 nieces and nephews.

Cecilia was the youngest child of seven. As we, celebrate her life today we are comforted in knowing she is joining her mother Ora; all six siblings: Mae, Ruth, Emma, Warner, Thomas and Shirlaine; and her Grandson Moses.

Having a rocky start in life, born to poverty, Cecilia elevated herself through hard work and perseverance. She was blessed enough to enjoy several diverse careers over her lifetime. Beginning as a model, she graced the cover and center pages of Hue and Jet Magazines, respectively. By her thirties she was an Administrative Secretary; and during her forties and fifties she instructed high school Business classes. Semi-retired at 55, she returned to work at 60 in Law Enforcement and retired at 70 years old.

Cecilia lived her retirement as a published Poet, a part-time aspiring fiction novelist and spiritual guide for her family. Cecilia loved and enjoyed children most in life and believed that they should always come first in her life and everyone's. There was never too much that a child could ask of her. In recent years she truly enjoyed caring for her youngest Grandson Joshua.

Cecilia discovered an aphorism and adopted it as her family motto:
""We may not have it all together, but together we have it all.""
Her favorite poem was ""If"", by Rudyard Kipling (see back page); she truly embraced the sentiments of both.

Cecilia will be remembered by all as one of the most generous and loving pillars of strength ever. She has touched each and every heart of those who knew her, and we all are better beings by having known her.
