Charles Hogan

December 20, 1954 — September 30, 2024

Las Vegas, Nevada

Charles Steven Hogan (Chuck), 69, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away on September 30, 2024 in Spring Valley, Nevada.

Chuck was born in Victory Hospital, North Hollywood, California to Bernard Manuel Hogan and Maria Theresa (Tessie) Lopez on December 20, 1954. He lived much of his life in the San Fernando Valley, California where he went to school and later worked. During the 1990s, Chuck made his way out to Las Vegas to live with close friends, and then later to Henderson. He loved living in Nevada but his heart was also here in California with his family. Chuck, known as Uncle Chuckie to his nieces and nephews, lived a full life. He will be missed.

Chuck is preceded in death by his parents Ben and Tessie, sister Dolores Anderson, and brother David (Bo) Hogan .

Chuck is survived by his brothers John and Tom Hogan, nephews Jac and Joe Anderson, and Tom, Shawn, Shane, and Jonathan Hogan, nieces Lauren Hogan-Miertschin, Colleen Rubio, Jamie Hogan, and Tammi Fuentes, great-nephews and nieces Emily, Isabella, Abigail, Reagan, Alexander, Miriam and Jedidiah Hogan, April, Amber, Taylor, Andrew and Joseph Anderson, Justus, Darius and Lucas Miertschin, Ryan and Rachel Rubio, and Tyler and Dylan Walters.

Though we did not see each other often in recent years, we loved each other. These words are what Chuck thought of his family and friends (from a 2020 online post):

“Hello my cheering friends and family, it's good to say hello, cause without saying hello, we all lose that loving contact, let the streets and the playgrounds laugh again, because this is all drama, and let it be said, that love and trust are the secret words, because without that we all can be in a lost world, bless us all”
