Charles John Wolff, a beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed away from natural causes in his home at eighty-seven years old on July 15th, 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Charles was born in Minot, North Dakota on March 25, 1935, to his loving parents Gerald Wolff and Louise (Turchin) Wolff. He was one of seven children and was preceded in death by his siblings Geraldine, Myrna, Duane, Anna Marie, and Richard, and is survived by his brother Donald.
In his thirty-three years in North Dakota, he met his former wife Andrea Boucher (Ness) and had his two beautiful daughters Teri (Wolff) Granger and Debi (Wolff) Sparks both of Conroe, Texas. Charles proudly served as a Staff Sergeant in the 164th Engineer Battalion for the Army National Guard of North Dakota.
In the late 1960’s Charles and his family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada for his career as an electrician and electrical foreman. He helped build many of the iconic casinos and buildings in Las Vegas. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for over sixty-five years.
Charles was an incredible grandfather to Anthony and Reagon Koppi, Michael Sparks, Adam and Jamie Koppi, Matthew Sparks, and Malyssa and Otto Alvarado. He adored his thirteen great-grandchildren Dustin, Kyle, Mackenzie, Cadence, Parker, Kaitlin, Jacob, Kaleb, Kennedie, Gracie, Ever, Ethan, and baby Charlie.
Charles belonged to the Saint Andrew Lutheran Church and was a devout Christian. He loved golfing, skiing, and traveling. He kept himself busy and exercised his technical expertise with his wonderful friends at the Sun City Computer club during his retirement.
Charles lived a full and meaningful life. He was a treasure trove of great stories. He created a big loving family and cultivated a tremendous community in Sun City that will dearly miss him.
His memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at the Davis Memorial Park at 6200 S. Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, Nevada where he will be laid to rest in the Garden of Devotion.
