Cheryle Jeanne Patty

June 22, 1949 — October 16, 2023

Las Vegas, Nevada

Wife, Mother and Music Lover Cheryle Jeanne Patty’s love of life didn’t come to an end with her transition. Cheryle passed away on October 16, 2023 at the age of 74 after a courageous battle with dementia. She was surrounded by loved ones in her last days who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

Born on June 22, 1949 to Eric and Ilene Erickson, Cheryle spent her childhood in sunny Southern California. As a young girl she fell in love with Music, Disneyland, and the Ocean, and would continue to love them throughout her life. Cheryle earned her Associate of Arts degree at Long Beach City College. She married the love of her life, Danny Ray Patty, and soon after gave birth to their wonderful son Christopher Brian Patty. Danny’s military service blessed Cheryle with the opportunity to live in many different and fascinating locations including Virginia, Guam, Japan, and finally Las Vegas. These cultures and experiences became a part of Cheryle’s soul, and she was always excited to share stories about her family’s adventures there. She created friendships that even across great distance and many years apart, are as strong as ever today.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Cheryle. She loved music with a passion, particularly the Beatles, and other groups of that era. In her home, she proudly displayed her Beatles memorabilia. Danny and Cheryle both loved to travel and spent many seasons in Hawaii. They also shared many delightful times at Disneyland, as they were season pass holders. Cheryle loved animals and nature and visited Springs Preserve in Las Vegas often, making friends at every turn. She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily activities. Her fun and quirky personality was contagious to everyone she met.

Cheryle is survived by her husband, Danny; son and daughter in law, Chris and Mindy; sisters, Lori, Shirley, and Joanne; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Although she is deeply missed, she will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of life for Cheryle will be held at a private residence on Saturday, November 4th, 2023 from 11am – 2pm. If you would like to attend please email Mindy Roundy at mindy_roundy@hotmail.com for the address and details. Please
