Chris Diefenderfer

Christine “Chris” Diefenderfer was born in New Jersey on November 7, 1946 to Frank and Vera Giannantonio. She grew up in the Garden State and would often reminisce of her days back east and the adventures she would have when going into the city (New York). She loved both her parents very much and had a wonderful and caring relationship with them. It was truly her foundation and her loving ways were a reflection of her parent’s love.

She moved to Las Vegas in the seventies to be closer to her parents and it was there that she began her career. She was a master of customer service and received many accolades in this arena in the various positions she held with different companies. The last being at Nevada Heart and Vascular where she worked for 32 years. Chris served various customers at her job and everyone adored her. She could always mange to put a smile on your face no matter what type of day you were having.

She was an amazing storyteller and enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends. She cooked the most delicious Italian food and frequently made her famous cream puffs which were full of her love. She absolutely adored and admired her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was always on their side and never judged them.

Chris was an easy person to talk with and had a larger than life personality. She was hilarious and truly had a gift for words. Always encouraging and with the right advice, Chris was a shining light of consistency in this world. She loved and laughed hard. She lived life on her terms and we all respected and loved her for that. She truly cared about those around her and more than anything else, she loved and appreciated being a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She helped shape so many of us into the individuals that we are today. We will all hold her advice, wisdom, and talks close to our hearts and never forget the love she so willingly gave away to all that had the privilege of receiving it.
