Christiane Forsthoevel

Christiane Forsthoevel, 57, passed away on March 31, 2022 in Las Vegas, NV 

Christiane received her Masters in Social Work from Florida State University. She became a US citizen in 2008. She worked at the Veterans Affairs in St. Petersburg, Florida as well as in Las Vegas for many years as a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She found her passion in advocating for our veterans. She was involved in several charities supporting local and national veterans to show her gratitude. The impact she had on her patients, family, friends, and coworkers can not be easily put into words! Her kindness and compassion was felt from those around her. She loved her family and friends deeply. She knew the value of hard work and pushed herself and those around her to be the best version of themselves. She enjoyed being a mother and most of all a grandmother to her three granddaughters. They were the light of her life.

Christiane is survived by her daughter Janette Schebel (Brent),  mother Christa Schmuelling, and her three granddaughters- Christa, Caitlin, and Camryn. 

A funeral will be held in her home country of Germany.
