Christine Ann Ream Hunsaker

Christine Ann Ream Hunsakerour selfless, caring, and loyal wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away on Monday, October, 14, 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the arms of her husband. She had the courage of a fighter, the patience of Job, and the heart of our Savior.
Christine was born in Las Vegas on November 7, 1947 and was a lifelong Nevadan. She was the third of four daughters of Donald Leon Ream and Orpha Robinson Ream.
Christine attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where she was a member of the ballroom dance team and graduated in 1970 with a bachelors degree in accounting. On June 12, 1970, she married her eternal companion, Sheldon Clare Hunsaker, in the St. George LDS Temple. Christine dedicated her life to raising her family, sustaining her husband, and serving in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. As an avid sports fan, Christine loved BYU athletics.
Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Leon Ream and Orpha Robinson Ream. She is survived by her husband, Sheldon Clare Hunsaker, and her ten children, Jennifer Jared Johnson, Shawn June Bunting, Stephen Michell Hunsaker, Nathan Lalani Hunsaker, Melissa Scott Barlow, Benjamin Sierra Hunsaker, Tricia David Andersen, Daniel Corinne Hunsaker, Darren Emily Hunsaker, and Matthew Hunsaker her sisters, Ren Spilker, Dianna Rounds, and Janice Parmenter and 30 beautiful grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2013, with funeral services to follow at 11 a.m., at the LDS chapel, 4040 E. Wyoming Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89104. Burial will follow at Davis Paradise Cemetery, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the General Missionary Fund of the LDS Church give.lds.orgmissionary or to the BYU Scholarship Fund give.byu.eduscholarships.
