Clydenuia 'Tiny' Sanchez

Clydenuia (Tiny) Sanchez, 80, of Las Vegas, passed away on July 2, in Las Vegas, NV.

Tiny was born in Collinsville, Oklahoma to Mattie and Clyde Davis on May 10, 1940.

Tiny moved from Oklahoma to King City, California at the age of 2. The Davis family resided on a farm where Tiny enjoyed the day to day duties of maintaining the property. Tiny went to gradesschool in King City where she made close friends with a particular group of girls. Those same girls went on to be Tiny’s best friends all the way through highschool and still till this day.

Tiny graduated from King City High, and then went on to hold a number of jobs including lead secretary for the president of Kings City Bank, as well as a police dispatcher for the Salinas Police Department. Tiny had her two children Roxane and Darren in the 1960’s and brought in another daughter Renae when she married her father. In the 1970’s Tiny moved to Las Vegas where she got a job working at the USPS working her way up to become a quality control supervisor. This is where Tiny met Jose, the love of her life.

After living together for 7 years prior, Tiny married Jose in 1992. Tiny and Jose both retired from the post office shortly thereafter and traveled the world. Once retired, Tiny enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren while also working small jobs along the way such as school lunch lady and after school safe key.

Tiny is preceded in death by her parents Mattie and Clyde Davis, her beloved husband Jose Sanchez and her son Darren Barnes.

Tiny is survived by her children Roxane Vieites and Renee Murphy, her sister Leta Amos, her 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren as well as her beloved husbands extended family.

Visitation will be from 1-2pm on July 9th.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on July 9th at Davis Funeral Home with the (name of minister) of (name of church), officiating. With the burial proceeding at 3pm.

Pallbearers will be Manny Vieites, Manny Vieites Sr., Clark Smith, Brandon Houlguin, Austin Kafentiz and Jeremy Walton.

The family of Tiny wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Compassion Care Hospice, Conley Health Care, Comprehensive Cancer Center, Dr. Shiek, Pain Center of Nevada, Dr. Chemplavil, Dr. Keeb, Dr. Iqbal, Catholic Charities (Meals on Wheels), Steinberg Diagnostics, Desert Radiology, Apria Healthcare, St. Rose Dominican Hospital and the many nurses and caretakers that have helped out along the way.
