It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved wife, sister, mother, and grandmother, Connie Connell Crum. At the age of 74, she left us to be with the Lord on May 19, 2024. A true matriarch, this woman of strength, devotion, kindness, and love will be forever missed.
Connie leaves behind her husband, Robert; her daughters, Tara (Christopher) Guerrieri and Alise (Rob) Elwood; her sons, Michael and David; fourteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her dog, Bella.
Connie cherished her family, friendships, relationships, and dogs most in life, and her commitment to them was undeniable. Examples of her love and those who dearly loved her are woven throughout her life.
Born in Delta, Utah, on November 13, 1949, to Dillworth and Mildred Steele, Connie lived there for only a few years before they moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, in 1953.
In Las Vegas, she met her lifelong best friend and sister, Sandie Briggs. Meeting when they were just eight years old, their unbreakable bond remained strong for sixty-four years. "She was the most wonderful, generous, and caring person in our world."
Vegas is also where Connie met her husband, Robert. Together since 1983, she joined her husband as he pursued his career, and she devoted herself to her family, home, and community. They moved from Las Vegas to the suburbs of Chicago, then to Sacramento, and back to Las Vegas. Throughout these moves, she built friendships and made people feel loved and cared for. No birthday or anniversary was ever missed; no card or gift went unsent.
No matter where she went, Connie was always known as the most loving, caring, and generous person, always making her house a home for children, friends, and family.
Our world, this world, is empty without her, and her absence will forever leave a void in our hearts.
Out of respect for Connie's wishes, her service will be private. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
