Mr. Conrad C. Kohlheyer, 85, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on January 5, 2016. Born in Mineola, Nassau County, New York on December 26, 1930, he was the son of the late Carl and Charlotte Kohlheyer. Conrad grew up in Manhasset, New York and was a graduate of Trinity-Pawling School and Colgate University, where he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. He was married to Nancy Brown in 1953.
After serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, Conrad had a long career in sales. During his career, he and his family lived in various cities in the U.S. and Europe , with Conrad eventually retiring in Las Vegas, Nevada. Known by the nickname ""The Baron"", he was always ready with a joke and was a wonderful story-teller. Conrad will be remembered fondly by family and friends for his charming personality and great sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard C. Kohlheyer, who died in 1990. He is survived by son Curt & wife Jane, of Jefferson, Maryland; son Brad & wife Chris, of Alpharetta, Georgia; and four grandsons, Richard, Andrew, Alex and Kyle. He is also survived by his friend and companion, Linda Bryant, of Las Vegas, Nevada.
A memorial service will be held at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada on Tuesday, January 12, 2016, at 4:00 pm. Interment will be private at Woodlawn Cemetery in Santa Monica, California. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society www.cancer.org/donate or to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
