Craig Lindsay O’Hanlon, 74, a resident of Mohave Valley, Arizona, passed away on August 2, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Craig was born in Long Island, New York to Harold and Pricilla O’Hanlon on October 6, 1949.

He graduated from Robert E. Fitch High School, Class of 1967, in Groton, Connecticut. From 1969-1989, he worked for General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT as a Shipfitter Supervisor working on the fleet of Naval nuclear submarines for the Department of Defense. Upon retirement, he and his wife Eileen moved to Anchorage, Alaska where he was the General Manager of Chilkoot Charlie’s from 1993-2010. He was also co-owner of Two Guys with his brother-in-law Ron, a local woodworking/carpentry company in Alaska. After several years of snowbirding in the lower 48, he and Eileen settled in Mohave Valley, Arizona surrounded by their best friends, including Ron & Diane, Betty & Stanley, Jimmy & Shirley, Dave & Mary, and many more. Craig and Eileen enjoyed traveling in their RV visiting every state in the US (except Hawaii), Mexico and Canada. Craig was a member of the Robert O. Fletcher Post 4 American Legion for over 40 years.

In 2017, Craig was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a challenge he faced with courage and resilience, ultimately overcoming the illness.

Craig is preceded in death by his father and mother, his sisters Candace O’Hanlon, Wendy (O’Hanlon) Beard, Bonnie (O’Hanlon) Haggan, and his brother Brian O’Hanlon.

He is survived by his wife Eileen O’Hanlon, Bonnie (O’Hanlon) and Jay Harrell, Erin O’Hanlon and her husband Mike Longo, John & Arlene Mainwaring, Debra (Mainwaring) & Howard Stump, Richard & Carolyn Mainwaring, Wanda (Mainwaring) Smith; his sisters Pricilla (O’Hanlon) & Ron Coumerilh, Heidi (O’Hanlon) & Charles Plungis, John & Sonia O’Hanlon, Allan O’Hanlon, Terrance & Donna O’Hanlon; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren with one on the way, and too many nieces and nephews to count.

Memorial services are to be held at a later date.

The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Muhammad Ghani at Comprehensive Cancer Center in Henderson, NV; Dr. Michael Treiman at the Western Arizona Regional Medical Center; and the MCU staff at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, NV, especially Michael W., who, at the end of Craig’s life, sat with him and played his guitar to provide him comfort him and bring him peace.
