""Heaven has gained another angel whose soul was too good for this earth. Our beloved Cris Nace Logia, Jr. was born December 10, 1956 in Agana, Guam. The first born to Eluina and Cris Logia, Sr. and the eldest of eight children. Cris was raised in Guam until the age of 7, then he was relocated to San Francisco, California, along with 2 of his sisters, to start a new life. He spent most of his youth in the San Francisco Bay Area and graduated from Serramonte High School at the early age of 16 in June 1974 with a 4.0 grade point average. He enlisted in the United States Air Force straight from high school. After 10 years of active service Cris was honorably discharged as a Law Enforcement Specialist. He walked away from the air force with experiences that made him a better person and left him proud to serve his country. Aside from law enforcement Cris was trained as a patrol dog handler, air base ground defense, supervisor, patrol dog drug detector, patrol dog explosive detector and an air traffic control operator. He was decorated with the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Air Force Longevity Service Award and Air Force Good Conduct Metal. He then moved on to work for the Department of Public Works with the City and County of San Francisco retired after 30 years in 2011 as Chief Engineer. Cris relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada soon after to care for his mother until her passing in August of 2012. He had a special place in his heart for his mother and was so sentimental he decided to remain in Las Vegas and resided in the house he purchased for his mother. In the following years Cris grew closer to his family in Las Vegas and 29 Palms. Most people who knew him considered him a teddy bear or a gentle giant. He was truly the best person to have as a friend, selfless and always gave his family the one thing most need, unconditional love. In the coming years Cris' health began to go downhill requiring care giver assistance. In January of 2014 the family arranged to have a care giver reside with Cris. From the time his care giver, Maryjo Quintanilla, moved in a spark of interest grew into a great friendship and then into a unique love. A love so strong Cris asked for Maryjo's hand in marriage only 5 months later at a dinner, in front of family and with the rings worn by his very own parents. He told his sister with tears in his eyes he was beyond happy and felt blessed to finally have that someone to love as much as Maryjo loved him and was filled with so much joy receiving what some might call the love of his life. The remainder of the year rolled on with plans for the big day set for April 18, 2015. When the year of their wedding rolled around Cris had a procedure done and was released the following day. The next day he experienced complications that required an ambulance transport. As he was being transported Cris went into cardiac arrest and passed on. This was an unexpected and great loss to all his family and friends. He truly will be missed. Cris is survived by his fiancée, Maryjo Quintanilla, his 3 brothers; John Logia, Roland Logia and Jerry Logia, 4 sisters; Norma Kerwin, Esther Cameron, Susan de la Fuente and Deborah Saldana, 6 nephews; Ricky Kerwin, David Cameron, Alexander Logia, Christopher Cameron, Nicholas Campbell-Logia and Nathan Campbell-Logia, 8 nieces; Cindy Young, Stephanie Logia, Jenifer Logia, Theresa Cameron, Alison Logia, Jessica de la Fuente, Nicole de la Fuente, Samantha de la Fuente, 2 great nephews; Nicholas Cameron and Alexander Cameron and 1 great niece; Olivia Cameron.""
