Curtis Miller, age 79, passed away December 2, 2015. He was born March 13, 1936, in Milwaukee, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents, Laura and Everett Miller. After high school, he moved to California to attend Pasadena City College, where he met his future wife, Jean. They married in 1956 and moved to Wisconsin to attend the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Marquette University. Back in California he was hired to teach U.S. History at Agoura High. Because of his life-long love of history, he changed the lives of many of his students. Field trips, an Academic Bowl competition against another high school, and many (sometimes) outrageous skits all made history come alive. He firmly believed that a student wasn't ""given"" a grade, he EARNED that grade.
His love of travel took Curt and Jean to many places, such as Greece, Australia, England and Costa Rica. Taking cruises with members of his beloved Green Bay Packers Football Team was a favorite pastime.
After moving to Henderson, NV. he made wonderful friends through bowling, bocce, Sheepshead Games, and solving the world's problems in the gym.
He is survived by his wife and sons, Steven, Jeffrey and Kevin, brother, Mark and sisters, Marnie, Betsy and Michelle.
A memorial service will be held for Curtis on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at 10:00 am at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89119 with burial to follow at Davis Memorial Park.
