De’Shante Andre Sherman - son, husband, brother, friend, writer, and talented musician-
passed away Monday, November 28, 2022 at his home in North Las Vegas, Nevada.
De’Shante was born and raised in Pasadena, California, later finishing his high school years at Don Lugo High School in Chino Hills, California. He relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2005 helped construct the City Center located on the Las Vegas Strip as a construction foreman prior to working his most recent career with the Clark County Court House.
As a young man with both passion and an intense sense of empathy, De’Shante was also subject to depression, which he battled for several years. He chose to end his life just weeks before his 49th birthday. He is survived by his parents, Richard and Cheryl Sherman, his wife, Aisha Sherman, his children, DeAndre and Aria; his older sister, Natosha Villegas; his younger sister, Sa’Darie Smith; his nieces and nephews, Cheyenne, Joshua, Jordan, Sunny, and Destiny, his maternal uncle and aunts, Michael & Debbie Morgan, Denise Morgan, and Artie and Carl Smith; and his paternal aunt and uncle Clarice Kelley and Robert Sherman. He is predeceased by his maternal grandfather and grandmother, Eugene and Margarete Morgan; and his paternal grandfather and grandmother, John and Ressie Sherman.
Funeral services will be held at the Davis Funeral Homes & Memorial Park located at 6200 S. Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89119 on January 7, 2022 at 10:00 am. All are welcome. The family requests that flowers be sent to the memorial chapel and that donations be sent to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline or De'Shante Andre Sherman's Funeral & Memorial. Repass will be private.
