Dolores W. Shaw

Dolores Shaw, 86, passed away Monday, November 15, 2010 at Nathan Adelson Hospice. She was born January 18, 1924 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and moved to Las Vegas with her daughter in 1980.

She served as a Private in the U.S. Marines Corps in 1945. She worked her entire life as a waitress and bar owner until she retired from Imperial Palace in 1989.

She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Sztabnik on 9112002.

She is survived by her daughter and soninlaw, Judy and Glenn Schaefer.

Dolores loved bingo so we called her the Bingo Queen. She was a very kind lady who would do anything for anyone. She was very positive and had a strong will to live, which also gave her the title of The Energizer Bunny because she just kept on going and going and going. She will be dearly missed but she is in a place where all of her pain and suffering is gone.

Services will be held at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern, on Saturday, November 20th at 2:00 PM. A celebration of her life will follow the service. Interment will be private.
