Donald William Bill Rennewanz Jr., 69, of Las Vegas, passed away Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012. He was born Sept. 3, 1943, in Seattle. He was raised in Seattle, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles before moving to Dayton, Wash. He graduated from Dayton High School in 1961 and Eastern Washington University in 1970. He participated in numerous activities including FFA, Thespians, Key Club, Student Council and played football for four years. He met his wife, Sandy Beckwith, at Priest Lake, Idaho and they were married June 19, 1971 in Pomeroy, Wash. They recently celebrated their 41st anniversary. They resided in the California Bay Area for 16 years before moving to Vancouver, WA where they lived for 13 years, selling real estate for Windermere. They have lived in Las Vegas since 1999, where Bill had been semiretired and working for Real Estate Temps. Previously, Bill worked in Industrial Sales and managed the family farm in Dayton. This past summer, they took a dream trip to Europe visiting London and Paris, and many ports on a Mediterranean cruise. Traveling was a favorite past time. He and Sandy were faithful WSU Cougar fans, attending many football games and other activities including Platinum Life Alumni members. He will be remembered by so many for his sense of humor, hearty laughs, kindness, and big hugs. His outgoing personality won him many friends wherever they happened to be. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Sr. and Muriel Rennewanz. He is survived by his wife, Sandy sister, Betsy Buerk of Vancouver, Wash. motherinlaw, Virginia Beckwith of King City, Ore. sisterinlaw, Bev Ralph Funk of Vancouver brotherinlaw, John Blattner of San Luis Obispo, Calif. six nieces one nephew and six grand nephews and nieces. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
