Donald J Strnad

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Strnad. A resident of Las Vegas since 1970, he was a transplant from Chicago where he was a train engineer and upon moving to Las Vegas, secured a job as a mail carrier and then later became a mail processing machine technician.
Don was an accomplished trumpet player, serving his country during the Korean War, here in the states as a trumpet player in the military. He learned to play the piano and tuned them as well, for both himself and others.
Don married his best friend, Elsie, in 2001 and they travelled the world together, enjoying far off countries and exotic foods. Don passed away October 22, 2023 at the age of 87.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother and his wife Elsie.
He leaves behind his two Step-daughters, Keri and Jeanne and Step-son, Ken.
