Donna Finch, began her eternal life in God's kingdom on July 29, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the age of 89. Donna was born in Lake Preston, South Dakota on March 5th, 1928.
Donna passed of a fatal illness after being in the hospital for a week; after which she was moved to Nathan Adelson Hospice where she stayed only a few days before being called home. Immediately before her passing, she opened her eyes and lifted up her head with a look of joyful wonderment on her face and took her last breath. We are convinced she was elated when she saw the Lord coming for her. As we left the hospice, and for quite a while after we got home, there was a great lightning show in the Las Vegas sky. We believe Heaven was rejoicing and announcing her arrival.
Donna is survived by her two sons, David Freidel and Daniel Freidel and her step-son Russell Finch. She passed away peacefully with her two sons at her side. She was preceded in death by her husband Roland Finch and will be interred with him at the Veterans Cemetery in Boulder City.
Donna never knew a stranger and was loved by all who knew her. She delighted in sewing, cooking and crafting, all of which she excelled at. Everyone will miss her cookies.
After moving around the country in her early years with her first husband Donald Freidel, she landed in Barstow, California where she spent many years raising her family. There she was remarried to Roland Finch. After their retirement they moved to Gold Beach, Oregon where they spent several decades on the Rogue river salmon fishing and enjoying life. Later, she moved to Las Vegas to be closer to her two sons and their families. The last five years of her life were spent with her loving companion Doug Pushard and his wonderful family. They went on many cruises and travelled the world, enjoying each other's company immensely.
