Doris Irene Burns, died August 25, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Doris was born March 11, 1920 in La Junta, Colorado, the second daughter of John and Helen Rupp. She worked at Mountain Bell Telephone Company in the 1940's. On June 21, 1947, Doris married Tommy L. Burns in a ceremony at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, La Junta, Colorado. In 1953 Doris and Tommy and their two daughters moved to Tucson, Arizona. Doris was a homemaker for several years and then started an archery business in 1962. Doris and Tommy operated Universal Archery & Sporting Goods together until Tommy's death in 1984. Doris remained in business until 2002, at which time she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she lived with her younger daughter. Doris is survived by two daughters, Judith Young, spouse Rob Young, and Cynthia Stanford spouse Jerry Stanford, and a Grandson, Jeffery Stanford, spouse Rachel Stanford.
