EARL ROBERTS The building of a man has been completed. Earl J. Roberts, 95, a retired ironworker, of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully Oct. 7, 2013. He was born Feb. 7, 1918, in Paris, Ark., eventually moving to Oklahoma, where he met his future wife, Mozelle. They were married Jan. 8, 1938. Earl moved his family to Las Vegas in 1952, where he was a 61year resident. He was a very proud member of the Iron Workers Local 416 and was responsible for the building of many of the hotels on the Las Vegas strip, as well as building some of the test sites for atomic bomb testing. He was preceded in death by his wife, of 54 years, Mozelle, in 1992 sons, Bobby and Jim and daughter, Cletha. Earl is survived by his sons, Brad and Randy daughter, Jeannie 12 grandchildren and many greatgrandchildren. Visitation will be 910 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial following, at Davis Memorial Park.
