Edward Harwood Marriott, a 78year resident of Henderson, passed away June 3, 2011, at the age of 92.
Edward was born in LaMoille, Ill., Feb. 21, 1919, to Ned and Helen Marriott and moved to Nevada in his youth. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He had the opportunity to attend flight school and had many fond memories of that experience. Edward worked 30 years at the former KerrMcGee plant where he formed many friendships. He also had a great love for animals and enjoyed many years befriending the wildlife on Kolob Mountain from his treasured cabin. He was one of a kind and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Marriott and daughter, Charleen McDonald and is survived by his sister, Nancy Austin his brother, Robb Marriott and his daughter, Linda Wirth. Edward also has 12 grandchildren and 36 greatgrandchildren. Viewing will be 48 p.m. Monday, June 13, at Davis Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, at Davis Memorial Park.
