Edward William Morgan, 74, of Las Vegas, passed away Nov. 9, 2014, in Las Vegas, 24 days after heart surgery. He was born March 7, 1940, in North Las Vegas, at home, to Edward Charles Morgan and Irene Tomsik Morgan. Eddie attended Washington, Jefferson, J.D. Smith schools and was in the first graduating class of Rancho High School, 1958. He worked for K K department store, Hyland Dairy, Glaser Bros., then the job he loved, Clark County Fire Department for 31 years. Ed was a lifetime member of the N.R.A., a member of the Hustlers Street Rod Club. He was active in sports all his life. He enjoyed car shows and hot rod cruising with his many friends, hunting and fishing trips with his sons and firefighting friends, and had so many great memories. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward C. Morgan, and Irene and Ralph Chamberlin soninlaw, Josh Ballard and brotherinlaw, Joe Winkle. He is survived by his children, Tami, Daron Weiqun and William Morgan of Las Vegas, Edward Sara Morgan of Laguna Hills, Calif., Robert Candice of Spring Creek, Andrea Woodrum of Las Vegas, and Michael Gina Woodrum of Burbank, Calif. 17 grandchildren two greatgranddaughters brother, Bob Kay Morgan of Parowan, Utah sisters, Polly Winkle of Hurricane, Utah, Virginia Le Roy Chase of Henderson, Jeannine Art Hardy of Sandy, Utah, and Kathy Martin Heimlich of Salt Lake City and stepmother, Shirley Morgan of Las Vegas. Viewing will be from 11 a.m.12:45 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, with services following at 1 p.m., both at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, 2701 E Pebble Road, Las Vegas. In lieu of flowers, Ed would appreciate donations to the Warm Springs Ward Missionary Fund, envelopes available at the service.
