Edward Pontorno of Las Vegas, and formerly of New York, New York, 84, passed to his eternal rest after a brief illness Saturday, March 5, 2011.
He served gallantly and honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II, receiving the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the Philippine Liberation Ribbon, The World War II Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal.
An Emmywinning video engineer, he contributed his skills to ABC Sports for over 42 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marjorie Watsky daughter, Deborah Siconolfi and her husband, Anthony sons, David Pontorno, Gary Watsky and his wife, Lori, and Darren Watsky and his wife, Sandy and his grandchildren, Marcus Sinonolfi and his wife, Luz, Asher Watsky and Justin and Kate Barnett. His four brothers and sisters his parents and his son, Edward Pontorno preceded him in death.
Edward will be remembered and missed by all who had the pleasure to know him. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 10, at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow at Davis Memorial Park.
