Elizabeth M. Palomo

Elizabeth Mary Palomo was born March 1, 1933 in the Bronx, New York. She was 78 years of age when she passed on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 after an extended illness and courageous fight.

She was the eldest daughter of eight children born to Felipa and Antonio Cruz.

Elizabeth married John Palomo having five Children, Luis, Denise, Yvette, Yvonne, and John. She not only raised her children, she raised her grandchildren as well.

Elizabeth was a very strong presence in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, always giving good advice and a shoulder to lean on. In all, she has 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren to whom she was known as Nana or MamaWella.

Elizabeth was a wonderful cook and homemaker. She also enjoyed doing all kinds of hobbies. She loved having guests at her home and looked forward to her monthly luncheons with her closest friends.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband John her children, Luis, Denise, Yvette, Yvonne, and John. Also surviving her are her grandchildren, Yolanda, Marcelo, Glenn and his wife Leslee, Steven, Ricky, Christopher, Elysabeth, Ivelys, Mariah, Amanda, and Devon her great grandchildren, Marc, Andrea, Glenny Boy, Gabrielle, Giselle, Glenn III, Omri, Tiana, Natalyia, Jazmine, Layla, Leah, Mariah, and Isabel.

Elizabeth will be greatly missed by her husband John, children, family, and friends.
