Elwood Grimes

Elwood Grimes, 71, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on Saturday March 7, 2015. He was born February 28, 1944 in London, KY. He moved to Las Vegas and made Nevada his home for the last 45 years. He was an Air Force veteran, a self-employed heating and air conditioning mechanic, accomplished musician and published author. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and making new friends everywhere he traveled. Elwood was born again as a Christian and baptized in 2011, thereafter carrying his faith with him in all phases of his life. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Elaine Grimes, his son Steven Grimes, and his sister-in-law Sandra Grimes. He is survived by brothers Carl Grimes, Johnny Grimes and Ralph Grimes, his sister Elizabeth Scott, his son Gary Grimes, his granddaughter Alicia Paulino Grimes, and his great grandson Jordan Paulino Grimes. A loving father and brother, Elwood was a unique and care free spirit with a kind heart that was contagious to all those around him. He will truly be missed. Services will be held at 1:00 P.M on April 5, 2015 at Davis Funeral Homes, 6200 South Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89119.
