Emma Leichtle

Emma Leichtle, age 81, passed away on January 23rd, 2020 in Henderson, Nevada.

Emma was born in Petaca, New Mexico to Albert and Leonor Leichtle on February 20th, 1938. 

She married and raised two children, David, and Leona Tapia.  Emma worked at the Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico for twelve years as a nurse’s aide.  She late switched careers and worked in the hospitality industry in Albuquerque, New Mexico for eight years. 

Later in life, Emma moved to Las Vegas, Nevada to be closer to her two children. She was a dedicated homemaker and volunteer for Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada for fifteen years.

Emma is preceded in death by her parents Albert and Leanor, her brothers and sisters Albert, George, Ephriam, Elmer, Donald, Wilder, Nora and Florence,

Emma is survived by her two children, David, and Leona Tapia; Her sister Flora Wilhelmi, and her grandchildren Robert Martinez and Andrea Norris and great-grandson Shade Norris. 

Funeral Services will be held at David Memorial Park at 6200 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89119 on February 19th, 2020 at 1 PM.
